2010 Review draft report and State submissions
The workplan agreed with the States for the conduct of the 2010 Review provided for a draft report to be circulated to the States in June 2009.
This draft report contains tentative conclusions on appropriate assessment methods and data for most categories. From the Commission’s perspective, it is essential to emphasise that this draft report does not contain draft recommendations which we consider to be essentially complete and appropriate. In a very important sense, the draft report is a work in progress and should not be seen as reflecting the final outcomes of the review.
The Commission is concerned that data limitations mean we may not be adequately capturing conceptually sound and potentially material differences between the States presented through State submissions and workplace visits. Consequently, the draft methodology may not produce appropriate relativities.
The Commission sought State Treasury views before responding formally to the terms of reference. Links to State submissions are published below. The final 2010 Review Report is expected to be published in February 2010.
